KCL Jazz Society Goes Virtual: We Need You

Calling all Singers and Instrumentalists!

KCL Jazz Society are organising a mass virtual performance featuring bands and musicians from across KCL, and we want you to be involved. We’ve got parts for every instrument and voice, and we want as many KCL performers (current student, staff and alumni) as possible to take part in our mass virtual band!

We’re performing a summer celebration medley, featuring ‘Feeling Good’ (Nina Simone), ‘Move On Up’ (Curtis Mayfield), ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’ (Frankie Valli) and ‘Everybody Needs Somebody’ (Blues Brothers), arranged specially for the band!

What we need from you:

We’ll need an audio file, and a video file of you playing your part. The music and backing track can be found here: http://bit.ly/Sheet-Music-and-Backing-Track

The backing track begins with a bar of solo guitar, before reaching letter A on the music.

When recording the audio, please listen to the backing track through headphones – so only you can hear it!

We recommend recording your audio on your phone separately, then film yourself performing the music afterwards, but its up to you.

Videos should be:

- Filmed in a landscape format. - Film yourself in front of a white background, capturing just the top half of your body. - Wear a colourful top (red, blue, yellow, orange, green) – this is a celebration!

Deadline for parts is Sunday 27th June 2021.
