Let’s Get The Band Back Together – A Virtual Performance
Let's Get the Band Back Together
Raising money for the London Music Fund.
In March 2021, KCL Jazz Society decided to embark on a mass virtual performance that united many of King's College London’s music societies and marked the hopeful return to live-music-making after an 18-month hiatus. 'Let's Get the Band Back Together' is a culmination of this effort.
This project features musicians from seven of KCL's leading music societies, and features a vocal solo from Lucy Peek, a saxophone solo from alumnus Tom Fletcher, and individual instrumental solos from the class of 2021: Eimear McCann (Flute), Ethan Cook (Vibraphone), Matthew Downey (Bass), and Michael Tasker (Trombone).
We are raising money for the London Music Fund, whose “mission is to transform under-served communities by enabling children to access high-quality music education.”
We wanted to take this opportunity to encourage the next generation of music-making and music-makers. Please give generously to the London Music Fund. To find out more, please visit their webpage: https://www.londonmusicfund.org
